Grande Cuvée Millésime

2012

Grilled brioche, Meyer lemon and white flowers over a chalk spine, the mousse so fine it reads as texture rather than bubbles.

The Story

A bottle with a past

Delatour declares a millésime perhaps three times a decade. The 2012 rested eleven years on lees in chalk cellars thirty metres beneath Avize, emerging with the patina of a wine that has never been hurried by anyone.

Great Champagne is chalk, time, and the discipline to release nothing early.
